Caring and Compassionate Pet Euthanasia
Euthanasia is something most people would rather not think about, unfortunately, pets become old and ill, and when they appear to be suffering, sometimes pet euthanasia is the most caring and compassionate thing a pet owner can do for their pet.
Understanding When It's Time to Say Goodbye
It can be difficult for pet owners to determine when it’s time to say goodbye to their beloved pets, especially if your pet has good days and bad days. If you are unsure as to whether it’s time to say goodbye, Lehi Animal Hospital can evaluate your pet’s health and answer your questions in order to help you make a decision.
Pet Euthanasia
We do require a current exam within the last 6 months in order to proceed with euthanasia. Once you arrive in our office, you will have the option of choosing how involved you wish to be in your pet’s final moments. If you wish to stay with your beloved dog or cat throughout their final moments, your pet will have an IV Catheter placed in one of his or her front legs. This will help us administer the medication smoothly and without any interruptions.
Once your pet has passed, you will have the option to take your pet back home for burial, or we have a cremation company that will take care of your pet. The only way we can dispose of your pet would be through cremation. We have two options for cremation. You can choose Communal Cremation or Private Cremation.
